Kindergarten & Primary
From the earliest years, children are immersed in a bilingual environment where English and Vietnamese are woven into all areas of learning. English is the primary language of instruction, helping young learners build strong communication skills from the start. Beginning in Primary School, students who are new to Vietnamese benefit from Vietnamese as an Additional Language (VAL), where they develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through everyday language use. This early bilingual experience nurtures both confidence and cultural understanding.
Secondary & Diploma pathways
From Primary onward, students engage with English as the main language for thinking, learning and communicating across all subjects. This immersive approach prepares them for success in international education pathways and is consistent across all programmes. For students needing additional language support, the English as an Additional Language (EAL) program offers tailored instruction and ongoing assessment, helping them grow fluency, achieve academic success and thrive in an English-speaking learning environment.
At our multilingual school Hanoi, students also benefit from our English as an Additional Language (EAL) program, available across all grades to support English Language Learners (ELLs). Tailored to each learner’s needs, the program uses ongoing assessment to guide language growth and ensure every student builds confidence, fluency, and academic success while learning through English. Through responsive instruction and regular feedback, students develop strong literacy skills, see their language and identity reflected in the classroom and feel empowered to participate fully in their learning journey.
Available across all programs, our Vietnamese as an Additional Language (VAL) program helps students build Vietnamese language skills in a supportive, engaging environment. Designed especially for international learners, VAL supports cultural connection and multilingual growth. VAL is fully integrated, ensuring students experience both a strong English-based education and meaningful immersion in Vietnamese language and culture - preparing them to thrive in a global context.

Through International School Partnerships' International Opportunities program, our students immerse themselves in cultural exchanges, debates, and creative film projects.
