The FISV Scholarship supports bright students ready to embrace innovation, demonstrate academic excellence, and commit to personal growth.
As part of international school admissions in Hanoi, eligible students can complete an international school application in Hanoi for scholarship consideration. Open to eligible Grade 10 students for the academic year, the scholarship provides an opportunity to join a U.S. standards-aligned learning community built on the USCC (U.S. Common Core) framework and prepare for university success in the United States and around the world.
Students are evaluated primarily based on their academic performance. Additional components of the evaluation may include an interview and an entrance assessment.
Application & portfolio review
Submit a personal essay in English, report cards from the past two academic years, and relevant certificates, awards, or evidence of achievement. Applicants are reviewed in one category: Academic Excellence, Arts, Sports, or Leadership.
CAT4 On-Site assessment
Complete the CAT4 at FISV to assess verbal, non-verbal, quantitative, and spatial reasoning, helping us understand your learning potential beyond academic results.
Formal interview
Shortlisted applicants meet the FISV Scholarship Committee to demonstrate English communication, critical thinking, learning mindset, personal ambition, and their commitment to contributing positively to the FISV community.
Contribution to school & community
Demonstrate responsibility, leadership, and collaboration through school or community projects, including service initiatives, sustainability efforts, and real-world challenges.
