Early Years & Kindergarten Program

At Fairmont International School Vietnam, children aged 3 – 6 begin their American curriculum Early Years and Kindergarten in Hanoi in a caring environment designed around how young minds grow. Our Facility Enriched Academics approach turns purpose-built learning spaces into places for discovery, and through structured academic development, children build strong foundations for Primary School and beyond.

Our curriculum

Fairmont’s Early Years & Kindergarten program supports academic, physical, social, and communication development. Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 focus on immersive, sensory, and movement-rich learning, while Kindergarten introduces a structured pathway using McGraw Hill Wonders, Read Write Inc., thematic learning, and Vietnamese language classes.

The power of play

The power of play

In our international kindergarten in Vietnam, free choice across various classroom centers allows children to explore their interests, make independent decisions, and express their creativity. Play allows them to make meaningful connections, strengthen their growing brains, and develop problem-solving, communication, and social-emotional skills.

As children interact with peers and teachers, they learn to resolve conflicts, build relationships, and understand how the world works. Play also supports fine and large motor development and provides a joyful outlet for imagination and emotion.

A parent's hopes for the first years of learning

At the preschool level in particular, I believe children should enjoy learning rather than feel pressured by it. FISV provide opportunities to students to explore, ask questions and gradually discover their own interests and strengths.
